The Evolution of Laparoscopic Appendectomy

 Laparoscopic appendectomy (LA) is a minimally invasive surgical technique for removing the inflamed appendix, which has become the preferred approach over the traditional open appendectomy (OA) in many cases of acute appendicitis.
